The buttocks are an area of the body not easily enlarged or reshaped by weight training or diet. Individuals that wish to enlarge, lift, and shape the buttock mounds, have a variety of different size and shape buttock implants from which to choose.
WHAT DOES BUTTOCK IMPLANT SURGERY INVOLVE?
The method of inserting and positioning your implant will depend on your preferences, anatomy and your surgeon's recommendation. Placed into each buttock area through a single incision overlying the tailbone, buttock implants are positioned to look as natural as possible for the optimal cosmetic effect. A 2-3 inch incision is made between the buttocks in the midline.
The buttock muscle (gluteus maximus) is lifted up and a pocket is made just large enough for the implant. The implant is inserted into its pocket. The opposite side is then completed. Both sides are carefully examined in order to assure that the results look natural and symmetric. The incisions are then closed by using fine, dissolving sutures which will also be taped for better support.
HOW LONG DOES A BUTTOCK IMPLANT OPERATION TAKE?
Buttock Implant operations usually takes 1.5 hours to complete using a general anaesthetic and normally includes an overnight stay at the hospital. In certain circumstances it can be performed as a day case.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE SURGERY?
Your expectations need to be realistic. Most patients are pleased with the outcome and find they gain a feeling of increased self-confidence especially when wearing those more revealing clothes. The overall achievement will be having a completely natural look that compliments your figure and provides that J'Lo bum!
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE RECOVERY PERIOD?
You will feel tired and sore for a few days and will have slight swelling and bruising which is only natural. Following the operation you will have a light dressing in place which will need to be kept dry for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks your dressing will be removed and the wound inspected and lightly cleaned. The scars will be firm and pink for at least six weeks and may remain the same size for several months and it is important to keep in mind that they may take up to 2 years to fade. You will have follow-up visits in the months after surgery to check on your progress.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME FROM BUTTOCK AUGMENTATION SURGERY?
This will depend on the individual patient however most patients are able to go back to work after a week or two. It is advisable not to do anything for 7-10 days. The average recovery time is between 3-6 weeks.

Nose job
A central feature, the nose determines the overall look of your face
Many people are unhappy with the size, shape and position of their nose, so if you are feeling this way you are not alone. The nose is the central feature of the face, how it looks can determine what the face looks like overall, whether this is because it is large and dominates the face, if it is crooked and makes you self conscious, or for any other reason. Nose reshaping surgery, also known as rhinoplasty or a 'nose job', is one of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures performed across the world, and as well as being requested for cosmetic reasons, it can also be used to correct breathing issues and to help alleviate the symptoms of sleep apnoea. Our surgeons can make your nose smaller, more prominent, slimmer, wider or smooth away unwanted lumps or bumps to help you to feel completely confident in your appearance.

BENEFITS OF HAVING NOSE RESHAPING SURGERY
Increased self-confidence from a new profile - patients often say they are happy to have photos taken of themselves with their new nose and new found confidence!
Increased self-esteem
Removal of a common cause of jibes and teasing
Option of changing hairstyle - often kept long prior to surgery to "disguise" perceived 'unwelcome' features
Harmony of appearance and correct the asymmetry of your facial features
THE PROCEDURE FOR NOSE RESHAPING SURGERY
Nose reshaping surgery is one of the oldest forms of cosmetic surgery and the surgical techniques have therefore been honed to perfection by our surgeons. The procedure differs depending on exactly what you are having done, but each method of rhinoplasty will leave either no scarring at all, or barely visible scars hidden well within the natural nostril creases. To alter the size or shape of the nose itself, your surgeon will make incisions inside the nose and alter the bone structure this way – your skin will shrink back to fit your new nose instantly and naturally.
If the surgery is to alter the size or shape of the tip of your nose, the surgeon will operate on the cartilage and remove or shape part of this to achieve the desired shape. Surgery to straighten the nose is called a septo-rhinoplasty and surgery to rebuild part of the nose is called augmentation rhinoplasty. Most nose reshaping surgery procedures take approximately two hours and are carried out under general anaesthetic – your surgeon will talk through the options and advise you on the most appropriate type of surgery.

Psychology of cosmetic surgery
Before the makeover, DeLisa Stiles--a therapist and captain in the Army Reserves--complained of looking too masculine. But on Fox's reality TV makeover show, "The Swan 2," she morphed into a beauty queen after a slew of plastic surgery procedures--a brow lift, lower eye lift, mid-face lift, fat transfer to her lips and cheek folds, laser treatments for aging skin, tummy tuck, breast lift, liposuction of her inner thighs and dental procedures. The Fox show gives contestants plastic surgery and then has them compete in a beauty pageant, which last year Stiles won.

Botox
Botox
OverviewPrices
Like Prozac and Viagra before it, Botox has become an established brand name in its own right and for good reason: because it just plain works.
While it may have made its name through celebrity use, Botox is an affordable treatment that anyone can access. Unlike some cosmetic medical treatments, it's suitable for virtually anyone who has wrinkles or other skin lines that they want to remove. This includes people who want to fight the signs of natural ageing, or those who've developed lines from exposure to the sun.
Botox Injections
Botox injections may sound like scientific wizardry, but they are a natural solution. The name comes from an entirely safe natural protein called Botulinum Toxin. Unlike some treatments that aim to pump up the skin or fill in the lines, Botox injections work by relaxing tight facial muscles, effectively helping the face stop frowning!
The procedure requires no anaesthetic as it is effectively painless: the worst you'll usually feel is a slight pricking sensation as the doctor applies the needle. It should take no more than a couple of weeks before the full effects take force, and once this is complete they will last for several months.
Generally there aren't any side effects bar occasional mild bruising, and other than avoiding strenuous exercise for a day or so, there isn't any need for a recovery period, so you can carry on your work and life uninterrupted.
Botox Before & After
When it comes to Botox, before and after photos tells an interesting story. The difference is clear: frown lines and crow’s feet will be heavily reduced if not completely eliminated. However, the treatment offered at reputable clinics will leave a natural (if younger) look rather than a plastic effect.
Contrary to some horror stories, Botox treatment won't leave you unable to show expression such as surprise or to frown when administered correctly! The only difference is that the frown lines won't be there when you don't want them.
“ The treatment has made a huge difference and I now feel so much better about myself when I look in the mirror. I have many friends complimenting me on how well I looked and asking if I had been on holiday. This is exactly the result I was after, a noticeably fresher look. ” — Victoria Prosser
Botox FAQs
Is it the right treatment for me?
Botox is the UK’s most popular cosmetic procedure, because it is suitable for almost everyone. If you have wrinkles or forehead lines you wish to reduce, then this treatment is likely to be the perfect option. If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to ask your sk:n specialist.
What happens after treatment?
You can carry on with your day as normal immediately after leaving the clinic, although it’s important to avoid anything strenuous for 24 hours such as going to the gym. Side effects are rare, but occasionally some clients experience bruising, but this usually fades quickly.
Before you leave the clinic at the end of your treatment, we will book you in for a free check-up 2 weeks later, so that we can review the results of your treatment once it has taken full effect. We can also book your next appointment in 3-4 months times to ensure you maintain your new look!

Liposuction
An effective solution for Body Sculpting
For a lot of people losing weight, toning up and achieving the figure they want requires a combination of healthy eating and regular exercise, but some can be left with stubborn pockets of fat that no amount of exercise or dieting can shift. Liposuction surgery, also known as fat removal surgery, is designed to help remove these areas of fat and reshape particular areas of the body – it is not designed to be a quick weight loss tool. Typical problem areas that can be treated with liposuction surgery include:
Arms
Inner and Outer Thighs
Stomach (or Abdomen)
Hips
Buttocks
Knees
Chin
However, liposuction surgery can be performed on any area of the body and the technique is often used as part of other cosmetic surgery procedures such as the tummy tuck, breast reduction and male chest reduction.
You will need to book in for a consultation where a nurse will assess your BMI (body mass index) to ensure the procedure is suitable for you. If you are very overweight it is likely that you will not be suitable for liposuction as there are physical limits to the amount of fat that can safely be removed from the body. Liposuction is a procedure best suited for body sculpting rather than weight loss.

THE PROCEDURE FOR LIPOSUCTION SURGERY
Liposuction or fat removal surgery is performed either under general anaesthetic or under local anaesthetic with sedation, and is often treated as a day case, meaning you will not have to stay in hospital overnight. The procedure usually takes between one and two hours to complete depending on the area being treated and how much fat is being removed. Your surgeon will make a small incision in the area being treated before inserting a thin plastic tube called a cannula. The other end of this cannula is attached to a powerful vacuum device which removes the fat quickly and efficiently.

Face lift
Look as young as you feel
The visible signs of ageing such as lines and wrinkles, loose skin and brown spots, no longer have to be an inevitable part of getting old, and many people choose to reverse these signs with the help of face lift surgery and other surgical and non-surgical procedures. Face lift surgery, also known as rhytidectomy, is one of the most commonly requested procedures by both men and women who want to look as young as they feel. It is performed to remove or reduce the skin that has lost its natural elasticity – usually around the eyes, mouth and jaw line – smooth the skin, reduce lines and wrinkles and rejuvenate a tired-looking appearance.

BENEFITS OF HAVING FACE LIFT SURGERY
Increased self-confidence and self-esteem
Looking younger
Feeling rejuvenated and fresher
Ability to wear clothes with lower necklines - no longer the need to hide behind a scarf / high-necked top
Easier application of make-up
THE PROCEDURE FOR FACE LIFT SURGERY
There are three main types of face lift surgery; traditional, minimal access cranial suspension (MACS) and keyhole surgery. Your surgeon will advise you on which method is most suitable and which will produce the best results – details of each procedure can be found below. For many people, combining a face lift with neck lift surgery ensures that the overall appearance is rejuvenated and patients who undergo this combination of procedures have reported looking 10 years younger.
Traditional face lift
A traditional face lift will involve your surgeon making a surgical incision along your hairline, down past the front of your ears and into the hairline behind the ears. Because of the careful positioning of the incision, your scarring will be hidden within the hair and natural creases of the face and it will fade quickly until it is barely visible. Once the incision has been made the surgeon will very carefully separate the skin from the underlying tissue, before repositioning excess fat and tightening facial muscles. The skin will then be lifted and stitched into place along the original incision and any excess skin removed.
Once the surgery is complete, your face will be wrapped in bandages to prevent infection and to support your face while the skin heals, but these will usually be removed the day before you are allowed to go home from hospital. Drains will also be stitched into place behind the ears to allow excess blood and fluids to drain from the area – these are sometimes left in for the first few days but this is decided on a case-by-case basis.
Minimal-access cranial suspension (MACS)
The main difference between this type of face lift surgery and the traditional method is that the incisions made are smaller and the tightening of facial muscles and removal of excess fat is done through these small surgical incisions. Excess fat can also be removed using this face lift procedure.
Keyhole surgery
If keyhole surgery is the right option for you, your surgeon will make several very small incisions into the skin on your face. Then he or she will feed a telescopic camera, called an endoscope, beneath the skin and the live image will be displayed on a monitor – it is from this that the surgeon can see exactly which muscles to tighten and how much excess fat to remove, if any. Keyhole surgery is most commonly used for brow lifts and upper face lifts and offers a short recovery time and will result in less scarring, but it is not suitable for everyone – please book a consultation with your surgeon to discuss the best option for you.
